From MrMojo:
Mr. Draww (or may I call you Flush), how it the leg doing. Very worrisome to
your readers and I hope you're doing something about it. (End of mother-hen
rant.)
LOL @ Mr Draw. Flush is just fine. Thank you for your concern. I was very touched that you asked about my well being. I wish I could say the news on the leg is good, but I cannot although at the same time I might. A picture is worth a thousand words they say, so here is the updated pic of the leg. This was taken less than an hour ago.
It is larger than ever before and the pain of late is absolutely unbelievable, but if you will notice there is a lot of pink in that wound and all the medical professionals say pink is a good thing. One of my co workers is also a nurse and she told me that if it is in fact healing it is also growing new nerve endings and obviously those nerve endings are exposed so this could be a reason for the increased pain. The almost black skin around the ulcer is a concern to me. it's almost like that part of my leg is dead and I don't know if it will spring back to life or not. As of this posting I have been in almost constant agony for the last 11 hours and in that time I must have taken 18 extra strength Tylenol at least 9000 milligrams of the stuff, but it's not helping much at all. There are more ridges in the wound although you really can't see them in the picture and an ER doctor told me, when I only had one, that those ridges was a sign of the tissues growing back. I hope he's right. Work is becoming harder and harder and I don't know how much longer I will be able to continue to work 7-8 hours a day. After about 6 hours the pain really sets in, but I will keep working as long as I can, until the leg gives out completely. It may never do that although it gave out on me temporarily today with about 15 minutes left in the shift. No work tomorrow and I spent tonight resting it and will do so again tomorrow and Sunday is only a 6 hour shift so I am hoping the pain will diminish at least a little bit.
Now for tonight. I finally found a tournament I can play each night I play poker. Turns out there is a $100 Gtd $3.30 PL HO. It is a mixed game PL Holdem and PLO/8. It is a 15 minute blind progression and no antes the way it traditionally should be and goes off each night at 720pm and lasts about 4 and a half hours. Perfect for me. It's the only $3.30 tournament with 15 minute blinds and 15 minute blinds is the minimum I will play. Also played in the $500 Gtd NLH and the $250 Gtd PLO/8, but no cashes in any of them.
My first session at $10NL was a profit I am glad to report. 827 hands played and a profit of over 1 full buy-in, $10.38. Although I dabbled at $10NL previous, this was my first full session. I may have backed off several hands more than I should have, but overall I was quite satisfied with my play.
There was a player at my tables all night who I will call "Scram" He seemed to be making poor decisions so I checked PTR on him. At $10NL this guy has over ($2200.00) in losses in 257k hands played. OMG, how does anyone lose that much and still keep playing. I mean wow!!! Guy must have money to burn. I took a couple pots off him tonight. he's a short stacker and keep sitting in with $3. I hope I have him at my tables every night. :-)
Play well.

That was gross, but at the same time made me want to fry up some bacon.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what that says about me but take care of it and I hope the pain stops being agonizing soon and becomes tolerable!!
You are a sick, sick man, Grrouchie, lol. Thanks Bro, I hope it gets at least tolerable too. After yesterday tolerable would be a 200% improvement.
Deletei wouldnt recommend taking 18 tylenols in 1 day, that could be dangerous, id be afraid to take more than 6
ReplyDeleteTony, you're right about the Tylenol, it IS dangerous as too much of the stuff can cause liver damage, but I either take the chance or try to ease the severe pain so I choose the latter and take my chances.
DeleteThx for the update.
ReplyDeleteThat does look painful. Bacon Mmmm! Nice job on your full session at 10 NL. Crush em!
